Montgomery

A day, one night, a cold room, a classical guitar, some cookies, a PC, an electric reverberating guitar, a cat, a vintage metronome and a lot of homesickness. Thus, in 2004, the Montgomery project, alias Duccio Simbeni (Canadians), came to life with a fistful of songs. Afterwards Montgomery went into hibernation for 6 six long years. All of a sudden, in 2010, he woke up and the guitarist Matteo Bertolotti and the cellist Daniela Savoldi joined the project. In June 2011 the trio recorded 6 tracks at the Mono Studio in Milan with the musician and producer Matteo Cantaluppi and the sound engineer Ivan Rossi. In november same year the drummer Simone Gelmini joined the band. In January 2012 the recorded tracks are mastered in Chicago by Carl Saff. The first Montgomery EP (included 5 songs) will be released on March 19th by the Italian label diNotte Records.
